Volunteer Teaching and Coaching Sports in Nepal

Volunteer World Nepal offers an exciting sports and physical education internship in Nepal program in local schools and after-school programs where they gain experience teaching and coaching while sharing their passion for sport with children and teenagers. Sports and physical education students benefit from physical and social activities which can strengthen communities, improve quality of life and support education.

A sports and physical education intern will be helping local sports teachers in schools and after-school programs to set up and run sports and games. The children especially love football and basketball but you will be encouraged to share the sports you like too keeping in mind the placements tend to have limited equipment and resources. You are welcome to bring some sports gear from home or buy it in Nepal.

Sports and Physical Education Highlights:

• Teaching soccer, cricket, volleyball and basketball
• Teaching a new sport, such as field hockey or ultimate frisbee
• Arranging a sports day for the students
• Running core strength classes
