    About the African American Diabetes Association (AADA)

    The African American Diabetes Association (AADA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health outcomes of African Americans living with diabetes. We achieve this mission through education, advocacy, and community outreach programs.

    The Opportunity

    We are seeking a passionate and results-oriented Partnership Development Manager (Volunteer Position) to join our team! In this role, you will play a key role in building and nurturing mutually beneficial relationships with individuals seeking partnership opportunities with AADA. You will be responsible for developing a comprehensive partnership recruitment strategy, identifying and cultivating partnerships with potential corporate and community partners, and overseeing the volunteer program from recruitment to recognition.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a strategic partnership recruitment plan to attract a diverse pool of talented volunteers.
    • Identify and research potential corporate and community partners whose missions align with our organization's goals.
    • Cultivate and build strong relationships with partner organizations, understanding their volunteer needs and interests.
    • Develop and present compelling proposals outlining the benefits of a volunteer partnership with our organization.
    • Manage the volunteer onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for all volunteers.
    • Develop and oversee volunteer training programs, equipping volunteers with the skills and knowledge they need to be successful.
    • Match volunteers' skills and interests with appropriate volunteer opportunities.
    • Coordinate and oversee volunteer activities, ensuring a safe and productive environment.
    • Develop and implement a volunteer recognition program to show appreciation for volunteer contributions.
    • Track and measure the impact of the partnership program and report on key metrics.
    • Stay up-to-date on best practices in volunteer management and engagement.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field (preferred).
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in volunteer management, partnership development, or a related field.
    • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills.
    • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
    • Experience with volunteer recruitment and onboarding best practices.
    • A passion for volunteerism and a commitment to our organization's mission.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and donor management software (a plus).
