Companion Hospice of Arcadia is looking for people to make a difference. Volunteers provide much needed companionship. Volunteers visit hospice patients at home or in a facility. They read with patients, play games, listen to music, provide caregiver relief and just talking are some of the ways volunteers make a difference. There are also volunteer specialties in areas such as bereavement support. Office opportunities are also available. Duties include answering phones, filings, making outreach phone calls to patients and families. There is training provided at no cost, along with large amounts of support and encouragement from the hospice management. Make a difference and become a hospice patient volunteer. You can make a difference in someone’s end-of-life journey. Volunteers will fill out an application, provide three personal references, go through an interview, background check, TB test (provided by companion).
Please feel free to reach out to Area Volunteer Manager for further information.
