Many worthy, peer-reviewed African journals do not have sufficient resources to adequately publish their research online in isolation and need assistance with online dissemination. AJOL meets these needs through free internet hosting of African journals and a user-friendly website to access them. AJOL works to facilitate increased visibility of and access to research output, so that it is possible for African learning to be translated into African development
