Rape Crisis Center for Children and Adults

In November 1975 a group of concerned victims banded together to incorporate as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. These visionary leaders embarked on a grassroots effort to address the needs of sexual violence victims, their families and the community at large. Today The Rape Crisis Center for Children and Adults has grown into a full service agency, addressing prevention, education, crisis intervention, counseling and advocacy, as well as continuing the strong base of outreach and support services from which it was built.

Mission: to provide comprehensive services to victims of sexual assault and their families and to conduct sexual assault prevention and education programs to youth throughout San Antonio, Bexar County and surrounding areas.

Program services include crisis intervention (accompaniment, hotline, and case management; counseling (individual, group, and child play therapy); and community awareness and public education.
