Our Mission
The Dana Foundation is a private philanthropic organization dedicated to advancing understanding about the brain in health and disease through research grants and public outreach.
Our Programs
We fund and coordinate programs on a range of brain and brain health topics for diverse audiences.
Coordinated by the Dana Foundation, Brain Awareness Week (#BrainWeek, #BrainAwarenessWeek) is the global campaign to foster public enthusiasm and support for brain science. Every March, partners host imaginative activities in their communities that share the wonders of the brain and the impact brain science has on our everyday lives.
Much of the Foundation’s support is in the form of grants with an emphasis on neuroscience, funding both research and public outreach in that area.
