Educational Talent Search (ETS) is a federal TRIO Program funded through the U. S. Department of Education to make college accessible to 1st generation and low income students. The ETS program at Hampton University provides academic, career, and financial counseling to eligible middle and high school students to encourage them to graduate from high school and pursue their post-secondary education. ETS at Hampton University consists of a Middle School Component that serves 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in five target schools and the High School Component that serves eligible 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders in four Hampton City High Schools. The program provides eligible students annual college tours, Financial Aid and Financial Literacy seminars, career exploration, and academic workshops.
