Peace Action is the country's largest national grassroots peace and justice organization. Established in 1957, it works for the abolition of nuclear weapons, an end to the weapons trade, demilitarization of government spending, and peaceful resolution of conflicts. Peace Action has 100,000 members nationally with over 20 state affiliates and 100 local chapters. Peace Action Education Fund conducts citizen education, community outreach, and media on disarmament and economic justice issues.
