The Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland (PBRC) is a statewide non-profit organization whose mission is to promote equal access to justice in Maryland by coordinating and supporting volunteer civil legal services, providing resources and support for legal advocates for the poor, and promoting cooperation within the legal community. PBRC is the designated "pro bono arm" of the Maryland State Bar Association and only pro bono support program in the state. Focusing on a variety of special projects, PBRC directly assists over 700 clients in need annually, and works with 35 other non-profits to offer free legal help to hundreds of additional distressed individuals, families and communities.
