  • Acerca de

The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey was founded as the Summit Art Association in 1933 by seven local artists who hoped to foster the appreciation, enjoyment, and practice of art. Today, after a $6 million renovation and expansion completed in the summer of 2005, the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey features 5 galleries and 11 art studios, including dedicated ceramics, jewelry, digital media, and printmaking studios.

The Art Center serves over 60,000 visitors a year including over 1,000 students a semester. The Art Center is the largest of the state's regional art centers devoted exclusively to contemporary art through studio classes, workshops, special programs, and exhibitions.
