  • Acerca de

Asian Immigrant Women Advocates (AIWA) was founded in 1983 to address the needs and concerns of low-income, limited English-speaking, Asian immigrant women workers. AIWA works with immigrant women workers in the Bay Area's home care, garment, assembly, restaurant, janitorial, beauty, childcare and other low-wage industries, as well as low-income immigrant youth. Through our unique organizing model integrating education, leadership development, and collective action, AIWA empowers immigrant women and youth to demand dignity and justice in their living and working conditions.
