    Acerca de

Wolf Hollow Wildlife Rehabilitation Center has been saving injured wildlife, educating the public and conducting noninvasive research for over 40 years on San Juan Island, Washington. While we are located on an island, we serve all of San Juan County, Skagit County and Northen Island County. Wolf Hollow treated over 200 different wildlife species, from tiny hummingbirds to Bald Eagles. No, we do not have the capacity or permits to work with wolves. The name came from our founder who was a veterinarian who used to work with wolves.

As the wildlife comes from a large and diverse geographical area, the animals arrive to us by car, boat, ferry, and small airplanes. Our 40-acer property in the middle of this verdant island is the perfect location to treat and rehabilitate wildlife. Each animal has several enclosures that they move through to regain their health and their abilities before being released back into the wild. They go back to where they came, to be reunited with their mates, flocks or groups.

Each year, 8-10 young people join us for busy baby season as interns or seasonal employees. This is the best way to get hands on education that can lead to job offers, as not man people have the experience it takes to become a licensed rehabilitator. Many of our past interns and seasonals have gone on to work in the field. A few have started their own rehabilitation centers.

Wolf Hollow is in the midst of a renaissance, developing new programs, hiring new staff, and partnering with other environmental organizations on noninvasive research. We welcome you to check out our website to see what jobs, internships, and volunteer opportunities we have.
