Detroit Center for Family Advocacy

  • Acerca de

Founded in 2009, The Detroit Center for Family Advocacy (CFA), a project of the University of Michigan Law School, takes a new approach toward fixing some of the issues plaguing the foster care system in Michigan. In particular, CFA looks to reduce the number of Detroit-area children placed into foster care or trapped within the system as a result of collateral legal obstacles. CFA utilizes a multidisciplinary model in which a master's level social worker and a family advocate work in cooperation with the legal staff on every case.
