Northwest Neighbors Village is one of 13 active villages in Washington, DC. Opened in 2009 in Chevy Chase, DC, NNV’s mission is to give members the confidence and practical help to grow older at home while staying healthy, engaged, and connected to neighbors and friends. NNV carries out its mission by providing its members with services, educational programs, activities and events, under the leadership guidance of a working Board of Directors, a skilled staff and a talented team of vetted and trained volunteers. Interested candidates are encouraged to visit the Village website at www.nnvdc.org.
We envision a generous, supportive community where all older adults are valued, age with dignity, and enjoy opportunities for growth and engagement.
Our mission is to enable older adults to thrive as they age in our community by offering a robust network of resources and opportunities.
Studies show that volunteering connects you to others, combats depression, and helps you stay physically healthy.
Share your time, make friends, and feel good about helping your neighbors. No contribution is too small. There are no time commitments. You can work your volunteer service around your schedule.
