Sinai Temple is a Reform congregation that belongs to the Union for Reform Judaism, formerly the UAHC. It is the only synagogue in Champaign-Urbana, and a key center of Jewish life in the twin cities. Although Sinai ascribes to the tenets of Reform Judaism, its membership is composed of a variety of types of Jews: Reform, Conservative, traditional, secular, and cultural. One of the strengths of Sinai Temple is the way in which these many different types of Jews join together to create a "Temple family."
