Gamelan Sekar Jaya is a fifty member, community-based ensemble of musicians and dancers dedicated to the music and dance of Bali.Formed in 1979, GSJ is located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
GSJ's core programs include extended residencies by renowned Balinese musicians, dancers, and theater artists; four different gamelan ensembles; a full performance schedule; tours, both domestic and international, and an extensive outreach/education program.
