The Near East Foundation (NEF) is a private New York nonprofit corporation with projects in eight countries -- Armenia, Morocco, Mali, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and Sudan. NEF helps build more sustainable, prosperous, and inclusive communities through education, governance, and economic development initiatives. Working with local partners, our programs directly improve the lives of tens of thousands of vulnerable people across the region through initiatives in Peacebuilding through Economic Cooperation, Microenterprise Development, and Sustainable Agriculture and Natural Resources Management.
