A Song For You

The music initiative "A Song For You," was born in the pandemic, writing & recording personalized songs for patients & families at the end of life in hospice & hospital has recently grown its own arts non-profit here in NYC, servicing patients & families in hospices with personalized original recorded songs. We have recently incorporated as a Non-profit and have begun partnering with hospices such as VNS Health, New York's leading hospice. We are looking for Volunteers who might join us as we begin to grow. To this point, we have been blown away by the response to this project--everything from the patients we have written for, to the hospices who are offering this service to families, to the social workers who have helped guide it, to the journalists who have written about it (ABC, NBC, Medium, Upworthy, and PEOPLE magazine) to a team of writers (some grammy nominated, some grammy winning, and some local) who have been helping to write some of these songs .

As we have grown past the pandemic, we are in hospices & hospitals across the country and have written many personalized songs for patients at the end of life......Some for people who have passed away since, on behalf of families that couldn’t be there in the room, some for people who have since recovered and gone home. We have written thank you songs for hospital staff to boost morale, as well as for nurses in isolation, couples in hospice, mothers who are separated from children, and as we grow beyonf the pandemic, we are writing for patients at the end of life in hospice and hospital across the country. The initiative remains entirely free to families.

As we move forward, we are looking to bring on Volunteers --from development and fundraising to adminstrative to the creative side (songwriters and producers)..... even Non-profit experts with experience on growing an arts non-profit in its early days.
