At People Who Care Children Association (PWC), our mission is to empower youth ages 12–21 through culturally responsive mental health services, community engagement, and holistic development programs. We strive to create safe, supportive spaces where young people can heal, grow, and thrive—mentally, emotionally, and socially.

People Who Care Children Association (PWC) is a youth-centered, mental health-focused nonprofit based in Pittsburg, CA. We serve young people ages 12–21, with a special focus on youth of color, system-involved youth, and those navigating emotional and behavioral challenges.
Our programs combine mental health support with life skills, workforce development, and community service opportunities—ensuring each young person is seen, heard, and supported in every aspect of their growth.
At the heart of our work are values rooted in equity, healing, and empowerment. We believe in meeting youth where they are and walking alongside them as they build resilience, confidence, and a sense of purpose.
Whether through our Clinical Success Afterschool Program, therapeutic summer experiences, or community services PWC remains committed to removing barriers and creating pathways for youth to thrive.
