Launching publicly in 2025, Gather RI will create collective momentum through inclusive and intentional connections for and by women and gender-expansive people. Planned programs include an inspirational portrait gallery, biographical library, speaker series and safe, accessible meeting spaces for the community to get together with peers, mentors and groups.
Gather RI’s all-star Board includes the head of the Latino Policy Institute, the Provost of RISD, the director of the Sarah Doyle Center at Brown, and the CEO of Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England. The organization has already attracted funding to cover building and launch costs, as well as major gifts to partially underwrite operations through 2026. It’s being founded as a charitable and educational 501c3.
Gather RI's building is located in the West End of Providence.
