Hygienic Art’s mission is to
inspire, enrich and instill a sense of community by promoting free, public art
exhibitions, educational programs and events to stimulate economic development,
tourism and educational projects for the City of New London and surrounding
areas. As a catalyst for economic
development through the arts, Hygienic Art has saved and restored a historic
building in the heart of the downtown business district with artist residencies,
four galleries and created the adjacent outdoor Art Park that highlights the
