American Academy of Pediatrics California Chapter 2

The mission of the American Academy of Pediatrics is to champion optimal physical, mental, and social health and well-being for all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults and to advocate for and support its members in these endeavors.

For our core values, we believe in the inherent worth of all children. They are our most enduring and vulnerable legacy. Children deserve optimum health and require the highest quality health care. Pediatricions (primary care pediatricians, pediatric medical sub specialists, and pediatric surgical specialists) are the best qualified of all health professionals to provide child health care. A dynamic organization is necessary to advance these values. The AAP is that organization.
