Consumer Connections is a program of the Mental Health Association in New Jersey. Consumer Connections is a nationally recognized program that recruits, trains and supports individuals with lived experience who are working to become peers in the mental health or co-occurring system. Consumer Connections offers courses that meet the educational requirements and lead to credentialing as a Certified Recovery Support Practitioner (CRSP). Our mission is to strengthen and expand peer workforce development. We aim to do this through the creation of high-quality training and educational opportunities, and have a goal of empowering individuals working as peer specialists to use their lived experience to support others in moving toward wellness and recovery.
