About Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival / Merry Go Round Playhouse
Founded in 1958 and located in the picturesque Finger Lakes region, The Merry-Go-Round Playhouse/Finger Lakes Music Theatre Festival consists of two divisions: the largest professional music theatre in Central New York and one of the largest youth theatres in the country. MGR/FLMTF has an annual operating budget of $5.4M, plays to over 180,000 patrons and students year round and employs over 400 staff members and guest artists each year.
The summer season offers musicals on multiple stages showcasing large-scale Broadway favorites, edgier, quirkier musicals and new musicals in development. A state-of-the-art theatre will open next year and will offer exciting programming and additional employment opportunities. MGR/FLMTF is committed to local economic transformation and the development of the arts in the Finger Lakes region while upholding a high regard within the theatre community for its artistry and execution.
