SNCA is a group of citizens of Sarasota County, Florida, who recognize the dangers and challenges that global warming present to our area and the rest of the world. We feel compelled to educate ourselves and others about climate change and its causes and take action to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases in our own households and in our cities and county.
What do we do? We learn and pass on what we learn through our website, newsletters, emails, and community outreach efforts. We lobby our city and county governments to reduce greenhouse emissions in their operations and to work toward building a sustainable community. We will join with similar groups to work toward these goals in the state of Florida, in the United States, and in the world.
