Dominica Organic Agriculture Movement (DOAM) is a grassroots,NGO located on the Caribbean Nature Island, the Commonwealth of Dominica. DOAM provides the collective voice, developmental assistance and network infrastructure to grow the organic sector. DOAM facilitates and promotes a responsible organic food production, disseminates technical knowledge, consumer information, and advocacy on organic production, processing and marketing issues. DOAM provides organic training and development assistance to farmers and small business owners and supports and initiates relevant research activities. DOAM is providing assistance to local organic farmers for the establishment of a certified organic PGS system guided by the DOAM Organic Standards whereby the use of natural resources are sustainable, protective of the environment and cost-effective.
