New Visions Teacher Residency

The Urban Teacher Residency (UTR) and Math and Science Teacher Residency (MASTER) are 2-year teacher training programs that fully integrate the graduate coursework of the aspiring teacher with intensive, hands-on experiences in New York City public schools alongside an expert mentor teacher. For the 2014-15 school year, New Visions for Public Schools and Hunter College will work in partnership to prepare 20 English and Special Education residents for UTR and 25 Math, Biology, Chemistry and Earth Science residents for MASTER.
