The ADAO Mission:
To reduce, prevent, and defeat, childhood and adolescent obesity; creating healthy accessible environments, and communities for our youth through advocacy, education, policy development, and environmental change.
ADAO is a project sponsored by the North Woodward Community Foundation a national nonprofit organization. ADAO transforms schools, communities, and the lives of our youth. By providing access to healthy environments, healthy food, and nutritional literacy, we combat the infectious childhood obesity epidemic. Through our on-site coaches that energize recess in schools, to our camps that keep our children healthy throughout summer, we are creating healthy environments in improvised areas, and healthy youth.
