Providing, Promoting, Protecting Reproductive Health
Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington's mission is to provide high quality, affordable reproductive health care; promote education programs that empower all individuals to make informed and responsible reproductive choices; and to protect the right to make those choices.
PPMW's work:
90 percent of PPMW's services are preventive sexuality education and family planning.
10 percent of services are safe, early abortion.
PPMW works to keep abortion safe, legal and rare.
Affordable health care:
78 percent of PPMW's patients qualify for subsidized health care services.
The cost of their care is either supported by the government or by private donors.
