Our mission is to transform schools citywide to ensure there is an excellent school for every child in our city. To transform schools citywide, NSBR will catalyze the creation of a new network of excellent schools led by the Baton Rouge civic community – one that increases access, promotes choice, and ensures excellence in school quality.
New Schools for Baton Rouge (NSBR) was launched in April 2012 with the goal of providing new, excellent school options to 12,000 students living in north Baton Rouge by 2017. As a community partnership, NSBR is bringing together talent and resources that deliver excellent schools to students and families in Baton Rouge.Our mission is to transform schools citywide to ensure there is an excellent school for every child in our city.
