Senior Volunteer Services engages adults age 55 and older in volunteer service to meet critical community needs and enrich the life of the volunteer. Senior Volunteer Services, Inc. includes three volunteer programs that serve Broward County, Florida.
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program recruits,matches and places adults 55 and older with nonprofit organizations agencies. Volunteer opportunities are numerous and varied.
The Foster Grandparent Program places low income adults 60 and over in schools to tutor children and provides a modest stipend to the volunteer.
The Senior Companion Program places low income adults age 60 and older with frail elderly seniors as companions and provides a modest stipend to the volunteer
