In 2006, Israeli and Palestinian former combatants, fighters who had taken an active role in the violence, laid down their weapons and established Combatants for Peace. The bi-national organization was founded on the belief that conflict will end only when Palestinians and Israelis join forces. Committed to joint nonviolence since its inception, CFP uses civil resistance, education and other creative means of activism to end the Israeli occupation and transform systems of oppression. We are working, from the grassroots, to build a peaceful and free future with equality and dignity for all.
