Healing Hands for Haiti Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing rehabilitation medicine to Haiti. Through our Rehabilitation Technician training program we are training local Haitians in basic nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and public health. We visit orphanages and train care providers on working with the disabled children in their care. We raise awareness about the disabled in the Haitian community and help Haiti to overcome its ignorance about the disabled. There are many stereotypes that are being overcome and we're making a difference in the community and school system, helping the disabled to be more widely accepted in the community.
