Brigade Trade School

Brigade Trade School is in the planning stages of opening a 4 year high school in the SF/Bay Area that focuses on Skilled Trades (construction, welding, automotive, machining etc.). This will be a county public charter school, and we are working with California Charter Schools Association (CCSA). We believe that there are many children who struggle in traditional classroom settings, and a hands-on, team oriented education with the opportunity to leave high school "job ready" to go into great paying positions could change the lives of many teens from all backgrounds for the better. Additionally, the declining accesses to trades related classes in traditional high schools is causing a national shortage of skilled tradesmen and women with the knowledge to safely build and repair structures, automobiles etc., creating dangerous situations. Brigade Trade Schools mission is to create a top tier high school where students receive an education that promotes inclusivity, ensuring equal opportunities for all students, regardless of their academic strengths or social class and provide students with an extensive curriculum that intertwines core academic subjects with practical trade courses.
