STAIR of Birmingham is on a mission to increase the reading skills and self-esteem of second graders through one-on-one tutoring.
Tutors develop one-on-one relationships, which make this volunteer experience so rewarding and worthwhile. STAIR has an excellent, user-friendly curriculum that is easy for volunteers to follow with no outside prep time.
STAIR has 13 sites throughout the Birmingham area. Volunteers are needed one day per week (Mon, Tue, Wed or Thur) from 3:00PM-4:45PM from September to April.
