California Climate Action Corps

  • Acerca de

The California Climate Action Corps (CCAC) is an AmeriCorps service program that’s part of a California statewide initiative to address and mitigate the effects of climate change. CCAC matches Fellows with organizations to mobilize community members to take direct climate action through education, volunteer mobilization, and assessment focused on urban greening, organic waste diversion and edible food recovery, and wildfire resiliency. This is a climate-focused, workforce development program for emerging climate and environmental leaders. CCAC recruits, trains, and supports these Fellows throughout the duration of the program. Fellows work directly with host organizations to develop strategies and projects to advance climate actions that engage community members, cultivate change, and leave a lasting impact.
