    About us

Since 2015 the Entertainment Careers Afterschool Program (ECAP) has served the community of Southeast Queens, NY, providing quality after-school care to elementary and middle school-age students. ECAP operates three sites in Southeast Queens: I.S. 192, PS-MS 270Q, and Riverton Street Charter School, offering instruction to approximately 500 students combined over the course of the school year and summer.

Our mission is to instill the values of theatre, dance, and artistic self-expression to the next generation of artists and leaders, building their confidence and guiding them to greater heights.  As a part of Black Spectrum Theatre Company, ECAP offers participants the opportunity to perform at the theatre, creating memories that can be carried to university and beyond.

Homework assistance is offered, ensuring that participants satisfy all school assignments. Sports instruction is provided at the program, keeping participants in top physical condition. Snacks are provided at all three sites to keep energy levels high for all the fun activities on offer.

At ECAP, we work to fortify the inner strength of each child that participates in the program. Join us in that mission.

ECAP is an equal opportunity employer funded by the Dept. of Youth and Career Development (DYCD).
