Girls Health Ed is a community-based organization that educates girls and young women ages 8 to 17 about their overall health to empower them to make informed choices throughout their lives. We train teaching fellows from relevant fields to conduct after school workshops in schools and community centers. Our curriculum consists of five components: nutrition, physical fitness, body image / self-esteem, personal care / hygiene and reproductive health. We have both an international and domestic presence. Our domestic program is currently operating in the Washington, DC metro area, Baltimore, New York City, Los Angeles, and Denver.
