Camp Kesem Emory

  • Acerca de

Camp Kesem is a national non-profit that recognizes and embraces the often-overlooked population of children affected by a parent's cancer. There are chapters at over 50 universities across the country, and each chapter is student-run and hosts a camp for these children. The chapter at Emory was founded in 2008, and for the past five summers we have provided a free, week-long sleep away camp for kids 6-16 with a parent who has or has had cancer. We focus on giving the children a fun-filled week for them to just be kids, while providing the extra support and attention they need.
