Domestic Violence Program, Inc.

The mission of the Domestic Violence Program, Inc. DBA Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Center (DVSA) is to protect victims, prevent violence, and empower survivors. We accomplish our mission by providing free services, resources and assistance necessary to effectively deal with the personal (physical, mental and emotional), social, and legal implications of domestic and sexual violence. DVSA was established as a 501c3 organization in 1986 and has been serving clients in middle Tennessee and Rutherford County for 36 years. We provide 24 hour access to all services through crisis lines. Services provided include emergency safe shelter, court advocacy (orders of protection), sexual assault advocacy and sexual assault forensic exams, counseling, bilingual services, and follow up. The Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Center is the only organization in our community that provides these free comprehensive services for individuals and families who have been affected by intimate partner violence. We are the only DV/SA provider in the Middle Tennessee region that provides forensic exams (rape kits) within the privacy of our facility. All services are confidential and provided year round to benefit the general welfare of the community and at no charge to the client. To ensure access and reduce barriers to victims, no fees are collected for any service we provide.
