School on Wheels

The mission of School on Wheels is to enhance and enrich the education of homeless children, from kindergarten through 12th grade. Our goal is to help fill the gaps in the education of these children and provide them with the highest quality level of education possible. School on Wheels encourages and assists children of homeless families to enroll in public schools and overcome the barriers caused by frequent moving. Several hundred volunteer tutors meet one-on-one with their assigned children for one hour per week tutoring, using essential school supplies provided by School on Wheels.
