Facilitate the Drepung Gomang Monastery Sacred Arts Tour to create a peace community in Saxapahaw, NC. To help foster interfaith dialogue and understanding, by sharing Tibetan culture with residents and visitors, thereby helping Gomang monastery raise funds to educate, feed, house and care for the more than 2000 exiled Tibetan Monks in residence.
Our goals for this event are: Provide a venue that will allow the monks to be successful in creating, exhibiting and deconstructing a Sacred Sand Mandala. Encourage dialogue and exchange of ideas between monks and residents of North Carolina.
