    CBNS is a research organization with considerable experience in the analysis of environmental, energy and resource problems and their economic implications. Established in 1966, CBNS has become known for an extensive series of pioneering studies on environmental issues such as trash disposal, agricultural sources of pollution, organic farming and alternative energy. CBNS's current program includes a major project with the Dept. of Energy to screen nuclear weapons workers for occupational illnesses, and an NIH-funded program to medically screen workers involved in the World Trade Center clean-up
