Tanzania Peace, Legal Aid &
Justice Center (PLAJC) which is a Non-Government Organization registered since
2014 under the (NGO) Act No. 24 of 2002. Its headquarters is located at Dodoma
Municipal and has a sub-office in Tabora region.
Since it was created its major goal has been to promote conflict
resolution for sustainable peace in Tanzania, and strengthening local, national
and international poverty intervention through economic empowerment programs to
enable effective engagement in poverty reduction efforts as set out in the
National policies such as Vision 2025 and the National Strategy for Growth and
Reduction of Poverty (NSGRP) as well as the world Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs) 2030.
The overall goals are; to ensure sustainable development of peace and
security, economic growth and promote access to justice to vulnerable groups in
order to achieve equality, peace and security in Tanzania in accordance with
the Declaration on a Culture of Peace 1999, Declaration on the right to
development 1986 and Declaration on the Human rights
