ABOUT THE WORK ETHIC (WE) PROGRAM

The Work Ethic (WE) Program is a nonprofit serving teens in the community through career pathway support enabling youth to more successfully achieve meaningful  career goals. We particularly accept teens who need support pursuing alternatives to a typical 4-year college path. Many of our teen participants are interested in the trades (welding, carpentry, plumbing, etc.); automotive maintenance; dental hygiene; EMT, public safety, areas of nursing and healthcare and alternative health and wellness; IT and computers; and other careers.  We help them prepare and succeed through our interactive career-readiness workshops, summer internships in their career area of interest, mentor matches, career exploration programs and more.

Teens must apply during their junior year of high school to be admitted to our organization’s program and then proceed as a cohort of 15 youth -  based on their high school graduation year.

Many teens continue on after high school to our Alumni Program - where they gain additional career advice and skill building opportunities, as well as benefit from our alumni level internships and career networking community, and as part of our own WE Alumni networking & leadership group!
