PROJECT HOSPITALITY - STATEN ISLAND NY

PH was founded as an interfaith response to a growing homeless crisis in 1982 and has since grown to become the largest provider of social services on Staten Island. We administer nearly 100 government and private contracts and serve over 40,000 individuals, families, senior citizens, and veterans a year. Our robust service continuum provides housing, food, mental health counseling, HIV care and support, legal assistance, benefits outreach, and more. Our behavioral health services have grown tremendously over the past decade to include an outpatient substance abuse clinic, an outpatient mental health clinic, a residential treatment program, substance abuse housing programs, and many other substance abuse services including medication-assisted treatment and behavioral health services to the uninsured and refugee population. Our treatment approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and strength-based. 

 PH has four decades of experience serving homeless, formerly homeless, and extremely low-income Staten Islanders. These populations count on us for food, shelter, mental health care, and connections to primary and specialty care. In the past year alone, PH distributed over 5 million meals to 40,000 Staten Islanders and managed 400+ scatter-site housing units. We also built a new 48-unit supportive/affordable housing development. Most of our housing and food clients were also connected to PH's mental health care and case management services.
