JFS of MetroWest serves a populous area of New Jersey with social services on a NON-DISCRIMINATORY BASIS. It has its community origins dating back to Newark, New Jersey in 1861 when it was known as the Hebrew Benevolent and Orphan Asylum. Today it is part of a comprehensive social service agency serving Essex, Morris, Sussex, North Union and parts of Hudson Counties. JFS annually serves over 3,000 families, comprising close to 10,000 people! Volunteer in Essex County to be a part of our success!
