The mission of Market Center Association (MCA) is to promote and advance the interests of the retail, service and professional businesses in the Retail Business District (RBD) to make it a better place to live, work and shop. The RBD, authorized under Article 14 of the Baltimore City Code, is made up
a 27-block area around Lexington Market. MCA funding is provided by RBD license fees assessed by the City to the approximately 300 businesses that comprise MCA membership.
