Boys and Girls Club of the Northern Cheyenne Nation

The Boys and Girls Club of the Northern Cheyenne Nation (BGCNCN) is headquartered in Lame Deer, Montana and is the location of the Data Collection & Management Specialist position. The mission of the BGCNCN is to inspire and enable all young people of the Northern Cheyenne Nation and surrounding communities to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. The BGCNCN offers various programs to club members that are based on their physical, emotional, cultural and social needs. BGCNCN sponsors activities for club members in the five core areas, which include character leadership, education and career, health and life skills, arts and sports.

The purpose of ‘Promise Neighborhoods’ is to significantly improve the educational and developmental outcomes of children ages 0-25 years who live within the Northern Cheyenne Reservation and Ashland and Colstrip, MT and to transform these communities by embracing a comprehensive approach to child development and education that is designed to ensure all children in the ‘Neighborhood’ have access to a continuum of cradle-through-college-to-career solutions, with strong schools at the center, that will support each child’s academic achievement, healthy development and college and career success.
