The Turner Foundation supports organizations that are working to protect and preserve our natural environment. Our grant making pursues four general objectives: protecting water systems from contamination, degradation and other abuses; defending biodiversity by protecting natural habitats; protecting the atmosphere and other natural resources by promoting energy efficiency, renewable energy and improved transportation policies and practices; reducing population growth by addressing the relationships between population growth, global resources, the status of women and girls, and access to family planning and reproductive health services.
